Referral Request Status Page Overview
The Referral Status page is a key part of the referral workflow in the OpenBeds platform. It provides a complete view of all referral requests sent or received by your organization or service, helping providers and care coordinators take timely and appropriate action. On this page, you can review the following referral-level details:
Client Name
Requested Referral Date
Status
Priority
Urgency of Need
Receiver
Referrer
We’ve recently made some updates to the Referral Request page! While the layout may look a little different, the core referral workflow remains the same. You’ll still create, send, and respond to referrals just as before. With these enhancements, you can now:
- Easily review and manage your referral queue, including both the referrals you’ve submitted and those sent to your organization.
Use prioritization indicators like the overdue icon and urgency tags to help you manage and prioritize referrals in real time.
-
Leverage our enhanced filtering and sorting options to quickly find patients by referral status (Pending, Accepted, Declined, Waitlisted, or Done), urgency level, and the date the referral was sent or received.
- A new urgency-of-need configuration tool that allows Administrators to assign, edit, and delete referral “Priority” levels on the Tools page, supporting consistent referral triage and improved urgency visibility.
- Review updated multi-referral logic that consolidates results into a single row, with multiple services shown in the Receiver column using an avatar icon.
- See new messages using the message icon, which appears for new messages and shows the date and time of the most recent message on hover.
