You can request a password reset to update your password. The link is good for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, you must complete another request.
To request a password reset link:
- Access your state's OpenBeds site.
- Click the Forgot Password button.
- Enter the email address associated with your account, and click Request Password.
- If your email address exists in the system, you will be taken to the following screen, and receive an email with a 6 digit verification code:
- The email received contains a verification code to reset the password:
- Note: If you do not receive the verification code:
- Make sure to check your junk and spam folders
- Search your email for emails from the address: no-reply@verificationemail.com
- Contact your email service provider or internal IT to see if the email is being blocked by a firewall
- If you are still unable to receive the verification email, use the Submit a Ticket button at the top or bottom of this page.
- Note: If you do not receive the verification code:
- You will need to enter the verification code, and enter a new password back on the password reset screen. The password entry is interactive and will warn you if the password doesn't meet the password requirements. Once the password meets the criteria there will be a successful message on screen.
Passwords must be at least 8 characters - Only of the following: ( @, !, #, $, & ) and contain a capital letter, a number and a symbol.
Next. click Reset Password. - A successful password reset message will be displayed. You can click the login link at the end of the "your password has been reset. Please login." message, to get back to the login screen and enter your new password.
